How do I set my board access to keep track of new posts? Every time when I log on right now it says 0 new messages. On the old board I used I could easily see what the new posts were. It was the first thing I checked. Is there a setting somewhere I need to change?

This is how I do it...

1. Go to the Board Index
2. On the upper right click "Mark Forums Read." This will mark all messages and threads as red, and all icons will turn yellow.
3. When a forum has a new post, the arrow next to it turns red. Once in the forum threads with new posts have red next to them. Makes it very easy to see what is new.

I just click on the View new posts link. If there are any new posts, it shows them with a little box to the left of the post. Click the box, and it takes you to the first new message in the post.

You can find the link near the top of the forum index:

View unanswered posts • View new posts • View active topics

If you see "0 new messages" that's your mail, not the new posts.
