That thing I'm holding is a landscrapers rake.

Very heavy duty prongs on one side for raking, the other side has a straight edge thats heavey duty for leveling.

The long handle allows you to get leverage.

However, it is NO DROP Range Item.

We were considering a Koi pond. After seeing a large racoon visitng our back yard we reconsidered. The creek below us has some imteresting critters.

Chitz! I started my working life in the LA Firedepartment. My uncle had been bugging me to give it up and join him in the masonry business in San Jose. He said he would give me the business.

Boy did he give me the business!! I served 5 years as apprentice Briclkayer/ Stonemason.
It took me some time to determine if i wanted a business I;d have to start it.

I did start my own business and retired in 1983. It's been a good life!

You were a firefighter in Los Angeles? :)

Wonder if you ever had to come put out one of the fires at our house when my mom would try to cook,...... it was often. Hence,.. why our "take out" bills were so high. heh.

Im in the middle of my 4 year Carpenters Apprenticeship. I've met journeymen that wouldnt be able to do what you did there. heh.

And that fabled rake you are carrying,... no drop or not, it still wouldnt protect you from a hungry troll. ;)

Very nice job, One. )

Concrete was a very good choice for the decking. The exposed aggregate has a beautiful look. You also did a wonderful job covering up the treated posts. Looks like a lot of work, but obviously was worth the look. ) Beautifully done!

Ahh Onefop, did your wife happen to tell you that that 'staff' was no drop? You MAY wanna check the stats on it for yourself. She may just be trying to keep you using it......
