French Toast

Not sure where to post, remove or move if necessary:



1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 pinch salt
3 eggs
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon white sugar
12 thick slices bread

DIRECTIONS
Measure flour into a large mixing bowl. Slowly whisk in the milk. Whisk in the salt, eggs, cinnamon, vanilla extract and sugar until smooth.
Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium heat.
Soak bread slices in mixture until saturated. Cook bread on each side until golden brown. Serve hot.

Edit, stir after soaking eah slice of bread

i sewar iuse the exact same recipe, only i sub in 1 tbs of knob creek bourbon for the vanilla

I sometimes substitute apple pie spice or use the cinnamon and add 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg. And also at times substitute brown sugar for the white if I serve it with ham or canadian bacon. Also try almond extract instead of the vanilla for a chance of taste or if topped with cherries.
