Looks like time

Post by Migraine »

I put off writing this. For several reasons, most all of which involve peeps (and not the marshmallow kind!) Largely because once one writes then 2 and then others begin- the why I am not logging in speech-- well, you get a cascade effect once the dam opens

I can see MLF is a special guild, I can tell by how everyone acts toward one another. You care about each other. You have respect for your guildmates and that is so important.

But-- I am finding my drive to log into EQ waning. My sub runs out in June, and at this time I am not renewing. I think it is a lot of factors that DO NOT involve my friends and guildmates, past and present. Playing any game for over 10 years, well, that is pretty amazing to me to think about it. Most of my time was spent with Ashen Vendetta- and I am going to miss those guys and gals something fierce. I have enjoyed my time in MLF- you all have some great leaders. Have been there done that in other guilds- including Ashen before the server change-- and it is no one's fault. EQ is aging.

I feel a great sadness to think I won't charge a dragon anymore (or other strange mechanical type beasts) with my friends and more sad about not being with the characters and the players behiind the characters. I am not going to start naming you-- I would start crying, and I type bad enough as it is. I have enjoyed becoming a part of MLF. You all welcomed us, and that is so appreciated.

I have learned to "never say never". But for the time being, my path takes me to other realms than EverQuest. I have enjoyed the time I have spent on Norrath. It was an adventure.

I will miss you all, and treasure the times had in our shared travels.

From one who firmly retired, never to come back, just a few months ago, I can tell you from my standpoint that I appreciated and enjoyed my time away from the game, but after a few months away, I felt the hunger for EQ and came back. I have not regretted my time away as I really needed it from extreme burnout. I love the game and am so happy to be back. I hope that after a short while you will feel the urge to come back and play with us again. We will miss you and look toward the day that your hiatus is over. Never say never is right.

Take care and stay in touch at least here on the boards.
