A Walk in the Commons of the West.

----It has been many moons since I have taken a nice relaxing walk in the commons of the west, so I headed to the druid ring in Misty Thicket where there is allways a druid poping in from out of thin air to ask for a mistical port to the commons. I walked up the hill to the ring and just sat down on a rock waiting for the next kind druid. I picked up a misty acorn and began to just toss it in the air as i wait for time to fly by...i threw the acorn high up into the air just as a druid come out of a port, and it came straight down on his head! "Ouch!" Kalan Wynderer said while giving me a discustful glace. "Now that we have met...", laughing silently but mischeaviously, "would you mind giving me a lift to the commons, im just a weary Halfling that is scared of the dark damp forrest of Kithicore". Kalan rubbing his head and mubling "...fine.". He put his hand on my shoulder and we were off.
----The next thing I knew was I was at the druid ring, but on top of it! "Hey! Get me down from here". Kalan snickering "Hehe, I guess..." So with a flick of a finger my body feels light as a feather and I begin to levitate. Walking slowly off of the cold stone touch of my big feet I slowly float down to the ground. "Thank you, I appretiate you taking me here, Kith is a scary place t---" Knowing he wasnt listing to me anymore because he just dissapeard off to another forign land. "Boy, no one ever likes to talk with halfling...they allways complain about us for one reason or another."!
----Rubbing my head to try to clear the lightheadedness that I ALLWAYS get when porting, I head east a bit to my favorite fishing spot. I find a nice little spot to stick my little...ok so not so little feet in and let the little guppies nip at the hairs on my toes. "Hehe that tickles!" I laughed out. "Ahhh!!!! Help me!!!!" some one screamed in the distance. Getting up out of the water quickly I look around in the direction of wich I heard the yell...but I could see nothing. Again I heard another yell "Yaaahhhhooowwww! Hhheeellllpp meeee-eee!!". Barely seeing a disturben human running in distress no more than 100 yards in the distance. Feeling completely helpless all I could do is stare in awe as I saw this Huge winged creature forming out of the rainey mist. It was a giant Griffin!! It was like no other I have seen!
----Running as fast As I could to the druid ring in search of help i huffed out breathing heavily "...Bigh...hhh...hhh...Griff...honn..." - everyone had their eyes on me now - "...chasing... man, save...him....!!" A few got the message and ran the direction that I pointed to see what they could do, and if it was not too late. Shaleena Mysticeye showed up first to the event to see what was happening. Pulling a book out of no where flipping to the right page, and shuts it seconds later. Shaleena quicly throws both hands into different pouches and hidden pockets in her robe of many sky lit colors, then and throws her hands into the air with magic flowing around her. I could just sence the great powers that she possed just by watcher her from over the hill.
----The griffon slowed quicky in its tracks looking quite dazed and staring far off with nothing in focus. He slowly drifts over to the great enchanter who is now sitting aginst a tree with her head bowed in a resting position of wearyness. Out of breath and quite supprised of what I had seen before my eyes I slowly creep my way over closer and closer to Shaleena. "How...How di-d you do that?!" wispering quitelty, not wanting to disturb that big bird hovering in the air staring into nothingness. She glaneses up for a couple seconds and then bows her head again speaking no words. "I-I have never seen anything like that.". Looking up again, "I know." she replyed."
----I sat down infront of Shaleena staring deeply into her hood covering her face trying to make out a picture, I start to rambling on about all the adventures and quests that I have gone on (most were untrue) but I kept on rambling... Soon I got really bored because she was not the one to converse with, just sitting there with her head bowed, so I headed back to my little spot on the lake. No more than a the time that four leafs could fall from a tree in the time of coulorfull trees i hear this mind pulsing screech! I run as fas as I could to get the sleeping enchantress in my line of site. She was gone! And her book and a small bag lay on the ground next to the tree. "Sh-she has been swallowed wh-whole!" stammering as I was stunned in my tracks seeing the huge griff head in my direction!
----Trying to run but my legs not willing to cooperate I just stand there and stare. The griffion was coming closer...and closer. I fell backwards knocking my head lightly on the grassy ground, the griffon slows to a stop at my feet with his neck twisting in aquard positions then the back of the griff splits open and falls to the group with Shaleena floating out of the huge bird and fading away laughing...
Taggas Pricetaggs
Warrior of the Mystical Lightfighters
Edited by: TaggasPricetaggs at: 9/30/01 7:07:47 pm
